Rose Gold Hair Trend

The new hair trend on the runway is rose gold and as you can see, it's totally gorgeous on blondes and brunettes alike. This is the sophisticated big sister to Manic Panic cotton candy and I am seriously digging it!!

Textile for Elizabeth & James Spring 2012 Lookbook

Do you already know how much I love Elizabeth & James??? I'm pretty much obsessed with the Olsen girls from a fashion stand point. It's no secret that everything they touch turns to gold. They have impeccable taste and they always get it right. I could live in this collection. And, look at those overalls. Do you die? Btw, I'm super into overalls. I thrifted Chanel ones last summer and wore them until my boyfriend started asking me not to wear them. (YES, CHANEL ONES!!!!!) I just purchased these babies and now it's double duty with the overalls.

Haven't you heard? The 90's are back.

Inspired by "The Bright Stuff" editorial in the April issue of Nylon, I was compelled to purchase fuscia lipstick and these rad skull safety pin earrings.

Weekend Warriors

I love junkin, thriftin, whatever you want to call it. And, in my opinion, the BEST sales are moving sales because people really are just desperate to lighten their load. Coming from someone who has moved across the country three times, believe me. When moving from L.A. back to Chicago, Kev and I were driving through the Colorado mountains upward when we started to smell the tires burning. I panicked - knowing that I should have just gotten rid of more records and books and the heavy juicer and so much more... So, just a little tip my friends - moving sales are where it's at if you want to score.

Moving sale gems from top to bottom: vintage pink caftan (!!!), orange Steelcase desk chair from the 70's, and the brown and white pattern is an amazing vintage curtain that now lives in Kev's studio.

Jane turns 1!

Sorry I've been MIA! It's been BUSY. I'm catching up on blogging and Jane turned 1 on March 23rd! The month of birthday madness has at last come to an end. It's no surprise that our little darling is spoiled rotten so it was without question that she would have a birthday cake. Duh. This one is honestly for dogs and is made with mostly peanut butter, carrots and honey with blended cottage cheese frosting. And of course we had to vist the photo booth at Empty Bottle because well, why not? She is just the best. Happy Birthday to my girl, Jane!!!
