Every season, it's always a challenge to seamlessly transition my wardrobe. For me, it's very important to feel myself in my clothing - which often means I usually have a "uniform" or two. It's important to wear your clothes and not have your clothing wear you. Figure out your style for the season and then change it up with alternating basics and bold accessories. Because I grew up in the south, winter is always a challenge for me. In Mississippi, you can pretty much wear your summer clothes with a jacket. But, in Chicago, it's an entirely new wardrobe. And, if you're not careful in winter, it's far too easy to look sloppy and bulky. Pinterest has been super helpful to me in finding inspiration for the season ahead. I then sell most of my clothes from the past season and hone in on what to add to the current. I'm SO excited about my recent purchases for fall.
From top to bottom: Marc Jacobs leather leggings, MINKPINK Have a Yarn Cardigan, Vince Wool Cashmere Blanket Coat, and Sorel Tivoli Snow Boots. All purchases made on GILT.
