Wanted: Studio Dress with Cape

Zara Studio Dress with Cape
I want this dress for so many reasons. But, I'll just name a couple. I have always wanted to wear something with a cape. Maybe this is because my childhood hero was She Ra Princess of Power? Anyway, this dress is gorgeous and maybe if I can't find a She Ra costume for Halloween I can just wear this rad dress with some good ole "ugly teeth"

Hot Damn

For your sexy witch costume? Or whatever? Leather Basque Maxi by Two Weeks available at Need Supply.

Erin Wasson for Zadig & Voltaire Spring 2011

Do you have a crush on Erin Wasson too?! Everything she touches turns to gold. Her rough and tumble tomboy glamour makes her the perfect poster girl for French luxury label Zadig & Voltaire. Now I want Zadig & Voltaire clothes and a new tattoo. Who's in?

Transition your wardrobe into fall gracefully. No major sweaters or boots yet please!

FNO Recap and Style Stars

If you weren't at Fashion Night Out last night, I must say you totally missed out. It was a blast! If you have been doing your homework you already know that this was the first Chicago Blogger Network event with partners Chicago Magazine and The Shops at Northbridge. (YAY!). I was scoping the scene along with four other bloggers and giving away cash to whoever caught my eye. Not only was I giving away gift cards left and right to stylish citizens, I was pleasantly surprised by taking home a gift certificate myself. Win win situation. I had a couple of truffles and cocktails, made a few pals, and basically got to mingle and photograph the well dressed fashion camp here in Chicago. It was kind of like a fashion scavenger hunt. Sound dreamy? Well, it was. Check out my style stars:

#1 Stephanie

Meet Stephanie, my first style star. Not only is she super cute, but her skirt is fabulous. Look at that bow! She's a huge fan of vintage and the skirt happens to be a vintage ebay find. We think it's Victorian around the 1900's? And, her necklace stole my heart. It was once her grandmother's. Great job Stephanie :)

  #2 Shannon

Meet Shannon. She was my second style star, and grand prize winner. The girl is easy on the eyes and has mad effortless style. The effortless part (and the hair) won me over. I caught her on her break - she is a makeup artist at the MAC counter. Love me some MAC. First of all, who looks this good at work? Second, she is rocking Neopolitan hair and seriously influencing me to manic panic my ombre. The dress is from American Apparel and is the perfect basic to showcase her fun accessories. Belt - thrifted for $1. Shoes - Steve Madden. Cuff - gift from her mom. And, the hair - Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink mixed with Virgin Snow. Radical.
#3 Tina

This is Tina. I literally sprinted after her. She has her look for fall down and we should follow her lead. This dress was super cool and her whole look was perfectly charming, down to her lipstick and polish color. It felt very classic but still spot on trend. My favorite thing about the outfit is the leather puff sleeves and her Chanel peridot nail polish. Shoes are from Topshop. Sidenote - have you seen the shoe department at Topshop?! Bananas. Her dress is Louis De'Gama and her bag is vintage. So well done.

#4 Tina

Another Tina! Tina is adorable, has amazing style, and is only 17. She is already a pro at mixing new and vintage items. Let me just tell you - I have burned and buried what I was wearing at age 17. Anyway, I was blown away by her awesome jacket, which she thrifted.  Her dress is from Akira, belt H&M, and cross ring is Forever 21. The sweet boots she's wearing are a vintage ebay find, and her favorite item in her closet.

#5 Paul K.

Paul K! Hey fellas - take note. This dude loves fashion and knows how to wear it. What is the word? Manshionista? I don't know, but he is looking very dapper and I kind of wanted to steal his jacket and just run!!! Paul's kicks are John Varvatos for Converse, jeans are Burberry, belt is Louis Vuitton, t shirt is Diesel, and the leather jacket is Marc Jacobs. I love you Marc Jacobs leather jacket. Paul's favorite food is pizza, sushi and chocolate and favorite designers are McQueen and Marc Jacobs. Yeah, we have some stuff in common.

Special thanks to the style stars and everyone involved for being so awesome. Hope you all had as much fun as I did, and I hope to see you at the next Chicago Blogger Network event! XOXO
