Last Saturday, I was lucky enough to check out the Alexander McQueen exhibit "Savage Beauty" at the Met. We waited for three hours (some in the rain), were forced to throw away our beer before we even had a sip, and were yelled out by line nazi's. Was it worth it one may ask? YES!!!! It was truly mind blowing. There was so much emotional power and raw energy behind each and every provacative piece.
The exhibit showed off McQueen's creativity and craftsmanship and was overall a very thoughtful and even political analysis of his work. I broke the rules and took a few photos. The quality isn't the best because I was trying to be discreet. It's almost a week later and I'm still daydreaming about it.
